Good to know

Step onto either of the two large balconies and you'll immediately understand why guests call the views here "phenomenal" and "worth every step up the hill." The north-facing outlook takes in Manly Beach, Sydney Harbour, the Heads, and the Cardinal's Palace — and with both a covered dining area and an open lounge on the balcony, it's the kind of space guests end up spending hours on. The apartment sleeps up to 6 and is set up to feel genuinely spacious at that number — not squeezed. Bedrooms The main bedroom has a queen bed and private ensuite. The second bedroom has two long singles which can be configured as a king bed — just let us know your preference when booking and we'll have it set up on arrival. The living room has a queen sofa bed for a fifth or sixth guest (please request at booking so we have it made up). Kitchen Fully equipped with a gas cooktop, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and full-size refrigerator. Everything you need whether you're cooking a proper dinner or just grabbing breakfast before the beach. Balconies & outdoor space Two large balconies with outdoor dining for 4 and a separate lounge area. A BBQ is available on request only (note: a $80 cleaning fee applies if left uncleaned). Parking & access Tandem parking for two vehicles is included at no extra charge — one of the few properties in Manly where your whole group can park on-site. Lift access from all levels including the car park. Wheelchair access via Parkview Lane at the ground floor entrance. Your floor is private — other building residents have no access to Level 2. Travelling as a larger group? We have a second 2-bedroom penthouse on the same floor. Great for families or groups wanting two separate spaces with the option to share the balcony views. Ask us about combined availability. Access is via a private four-digit code sent before arrival. Your hosts are a few minutes away and available 7 days a week. A comprehensive house manual is in the apartment on arrival.

The apartment sits on the Manly–Fairlight border, elevated above the bustle of the beachfront — quieter and more residential, with the panoramic views as your reward. Fairlight Village is a 2-minute walk: cafes, supermarket, butcher, chemist, newsagent, homewares, and a medical centre. Manly's beach, bars, restaurants, and wharf are 10 minutes on foot down Sydney Road — or catch the bus from the stop right outside. A shortcut through the Botanic Gardens makes the walk back up the hill much more pleasant (a guest tip worth knowing). From Manly Wharf, the ferry to Circular Quay is about 17 minutes — one of the world's best value harbour experiences. Buses also run north to Warringah Mall, Collaroy, and all the way to Palm Beach.

With bus stops outside your door, you can get just about anywhere. Walk to Manly Wharf and jump on the ferry to Sydney CBD to see the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Stop off at Watson's Bay or the Quarantine Station and take in views of Sydney Harbour and Sydney Heads. Jump on a bus and head further up the Northern Beaches stopping off at Warringah Mall or the many beaches along the way and further up to Palm Beach.
